About Mintis Dynamics

Intent is the interface.

Thesis

Mintis Dynamics is building Mintis, the toolset for neuro device developers: connectors a neuro device can drive, tools that turn its signal into deliberate triggers, and the safety between the two.

01 Offering

What Mintis does

In the order it is built: the registry first, decoding second.

Registry, live

Runs the action and records it. Eighteen reviewed connectors a neuro device can drive: switch a light, open the curtains, send a message. Mintis holds the credentials, asks before anything changes, runs each action once and writes it down.

Decoding, next

Turns signal into triggers. An open core every host will be built on, and a console for bringing up an instrument: live signal, replay through the production detectors, qualification. The Mintis app and white-label builds come on top.

02 Difference

What makes Mintis different

Against building it in-house, against general automation tools, and for the person using the instrument.

  1. 01

Already written, already reviewed, already running.

Building it in-house means OAuth for every provider, a security review, and connectors that break when providers change, kept up forever. Mintis does that work once, for every instrument.

  2. 02

Designed for a few noisy triggers.

General automation tools assume a keyboard. Mintis assumes a handful of deliberate triggers that can misfire. Reads answer, writes ask once, anything destructive or that reaches another person asks twice, and every ask times out to cancel.

  3. 03

Every trigger is qualified before it is assigned.

Each candidate is recorded at rest and while reading, replayed through the production detectors, and held out by whole session. On our rig, double blinks fired on their own while the wearer read, so nothing is assigned to one.

  4. 04

    The person decides.

Publishers decide which actions their product allows. Makers decide which triggers an instrument gives. Only the person using the instrument decides which trigger runs which action. No party can override another.

03 Audience

Who Mintis is for

Two kinds of developer, and the publishers whose products they reach.

  • 01

Tinkerers with an OpenBCI board, a Muse, a Neurosity Crown or a sensor taped to their forehead, who want its signal to do something tonight. Free, and nothing of ours runs on the board.

  • 02

Neuro device labs and makers, from university labs and two-person startups to established neurotech companies, building instruments that read EEG, EOG or EMG, so they can demo, study and ship them with real actions behind them. Free while prototyping or researching; paid once they ship.

  • 03

Connector publishers who want every neuro device to reach their product: one document, reviewed once, running on every host.

04 Team

The team behind Mintis

Mintis Dynamics was founded in Vilnius by Elvinas Predkelis, who has built every layer so far: the registry, the console that runs the decoders, and the OpenBCI bench rig they were measured on.

How working with Mintis works

Who you talk to, and how fast they answer. For what your code gets, see Operation.

  1. 01

    You talk to the founder.

Makers, publishers and investors write to hello@mintisdynamics.com. The founder reads and answers.

  2. 02

    Tinkerers start free.

Sign-up on the registry is free, and your code calls its API with a pairing token. A synthetic paired device with no hardware behind it, and the API reference, are available on request.

  3. 03

    Safety questions: five working days.

Safety, intended use or data: safety@mintisdynamics.com. Answered in plain language within five working days.

  4. 04

    Accessibility: ten working days.

Something on a Mintis page does not work for you: access@mintisdynamics.com. Fixed, or you are told why not, within ten working days.

  5. 05

    Incidents: one working day.

Anyone can report an action nobody intended, or one that silently did not happen. Acknowledged within one working day; the fix and the lesson are published.

07 Questions

Frequently asked questions

What a developer asks before signing up.

  1. 01

    What can I use today?

The registry at api.mintis.cloud, live since October 2026: eighteen connectors, from lights and curtains to messages, one checked end to end on a real account. The directory is public and sign-up is free. DummyJSON needs no provider account and is the one to try first. There is no host app yet; your own code calls the API with a pairing token. The API reference, and a synthetic paired device with no hardware behind it, are available from hello@mintisdynamics.com on request.

  2. 02

What could a lab do with it today?

Demo an instrument doing something real: pair the computer it drives, connect a provider, and have your own detector call a connector; Shelly is checked end to end on a real account. Qualify triggers by a method a reviewer can check: record at rest and during natural reading, replay, hold out by whole session, and reject anything over 0.01 false fires a minute; the console that does this for you is next, the method is usable now. Give study participants real actions under one safety model, with every run written down. And prototype a product that ships with connectors on day one, free until it ships. Not for emergencies, and no medical claim.

  3. 03

    How much does Mintis cost?

Nothing while you prototype: the directory and the hosted registry, within fair-use limits, and the tools as they are released. A maker shipping a commercial product pays a yearly fee. Works with Mintis certification and a white-label Mintis app are paid extras, neither offered yet. No prices are published.

  4. 04

Does it work with my instrument?

It is written for any instrument that delivers a sampled signal or a discrete trigger. Today it reads BrainFlow boards; the instrument profile that describes everything else is specified, and we write the adapter with you. Mintis has no hardware of its own; it runs on yours.

  5. 05

    Is Mintis open source?

Not yet. The directory is already public. The connector format, the instrument profile format, the core and the console are open by decision and will be published under a permissive licence. What stays closed is what Mintis operates: execution, the credential vault, review and certification.

  6. 06

What does Works with Mintis mean?

A certification of an instrument and the host it ships with: the instrument’s triggers are qualified and its host enforces the safety model. It covers triggers and safety, not medical fitness. Specified, not offered yet.

  7. 07

    Is Mintis a brain-computer interface?

Mintis is software, and it works with whatever signal an instrument reads: EEG, EOG or EMG. EEG is a brain signal; EOG, the signal of eye movement and blinks, is not. Our own bench rig reads EOG. It reads deliberate gestures, not thoughts, and measures no physiological state.

  8. 08

    Is Mintis a medical device?

No. Mintis tooling is not CE-marked, is not classified under the EU Medical Device Regulation, and makes no diagnostic or therapeutic claim. A maker who takes an instrument through that route makes their own claim, for their own product.

  9. 09

Does raw signal leave the person’s machine?

No. It is decoded on the person’s own host and never sent to Mintis. The registry keeps a record of each action it runs, which the person can read, export and delete. A maker sees it only for their own products, with the access the person gave them.

  10. 10

    Can I publish a connector?

Yes. A connector is one document that says which actions your product allows and how much confirmation each needs. It passes review once and runs on every host. To be an early publisher, write to hello@mintisdynamics.com.
